4 WEEKS!!!

So, I only have 4 weeks left!!! I am getting so excited and so miserable at the same time. My body hurts all the time but I know it will be worth it when Cale finally arrives. I am still working but I take more time off. Sometimes I just need a break or it just hurts to bad to stand all day. Patrick is anticipating Cale's arrival as well. He answers pretty much every one of my phone calls in a panic thinking I am going to tell him the baby is on the way. It makes me laugh.

Yesterday we had some 'pregnancy' pictures taken by a friend of mine from high school. She isn't 100% professional but she is on her way. She has a portable studio so we had the pictures done at my mom's house. I can't wait to see them! I think they will turn out very nice.

I am now on the once a week doctors visits. Patrick and I have taken two baby care classes at the hospital. I have one more to go, it is a breast feeding class. I am not sure if Patrick will join me or not, I don't blame him if he doesn't want to go. Other than that, I think we are about as prepared for this baby as we can be. We can't wait to be parents!!

Wasting time

So I realized today that I haven't posted anything for awhile. I am just wasting time really...I need to do my Thank You cards but I can't think of what to say in them. My belly is getting bigger everyday and more and more uncomfortable. I can't breathe very well and I am starting to toss and turn more at night. I have 6 weeks left.....holy crap....6 weeks. It still amazes me that the time has flown by as fast as it has. People at work ask me if I am ready to have the baby. I am not sure if I am or not. I really want to meet him but I am just so scared. Plus, it is kind of fun having a little pal in my belly to play with. He really likes it when I put lotion on after my showers.

Patrick is excited. He is also scared that the baby will have his eye problems. I try to tell him that if the baby does, he will have the best role model to look up to. Patrick has accomplished alot in his life. He plays video games...too much...he works....too much...he married the most awesome girl ever, and he is about to be a father. Most the time I forget that he is "legally blind". He is a great husband, and will make a great dad. I am so proud of him.

Baby shower

So yesterday was my baby shower. I got so much awesome things!!! I feel so lucky to have so many people that care about us. There were people there that I had never even met before, or maybe I had once but I don't remember them. We ate some food, and played a few games....the pizza dip was awesome by the way Dayle and Jennifer! We played this game where you take a diaper and melt candy or a candy bar in it then you make everyone guess what kind it is. It sounds easy but it is hard to stick your face in a diaper that looks like it has poop in it! The first diaper that Jennifer put in the microwave caught on fire. Her and I just stood there yelling, "OH MY GOSH! IT'S ON FIRE!!!" Like it was going to put itself out. It was scary at the time but quite humerous afterward. Then she tried to do it in the oven and all the diapers stuck to the tray. It took her awhile to get all the diaper pieces off the tray. Patrick is in Dallas for work training until Wednesday and he asked me not to put anything together for the nursery until he got home. I have NO objections......

Our first blog!!!

I decided to create a blog so family can keep updated on our new arrival Cale! I know we will be very busy once he arrives and I thought this would be the best idea. To bring everybody up to speed, Patrick Cale Pierce is due on September 26th, 2008. Right now I am 32 weeks along and very tired. I am still working and plan to continue working until he is born. Other than being tired, my pregnancy has gone quite well. I am slightly anemic but my doctor put me on iron supplements. Patrick is working alot and he plans to take a week off work when Cale is born. One of our dogs Rizzo is currently enrolled in training classes every week to try to get her to calm down and listen better. We have two young boxers, Rizzo 16 months, and Shiner 2 years. I am very curious to see how well they handle baby Cale. Time has wizzed by and now I need to get ready for work! I will write again when I actually have something to write about.
